From the Writer-Director Desk
I’m thrilled to officially share the first trailer for Gale: Yellow Brick Road — my feature-film reimagining of The Wizard of Oz with a chilling twist. Early reactions are pouring in, and the energy is electric.
I’ve always believed in uncovering the layers beneath familiar stories. In Gale, Dorothy Gale is no longer the wide-eyed girl in ruby slippers — she’s an elderly woman haunted by a lifetime of unexplainable experiences, and her granddaughter Emily is drawn into a terrifying legacy she never asked for.
The trailer pulls you straight into that unsettling world. One moment it feels disturbingly familiar, the next it's something entirely new — all leading to a final frame that lingers with you long after the screen goes dark.
Why this matters:
It sets the tone for a film that explores family, memory, and the burdens we inherit.
It’s the first glimpse into the vision that’s kept me up for months (in the best way).
And, crucially, it’s now out in the world — for you to share, talk about, and dissect.
I’d love to hear what you think:
Let me know which moment stopped you in your tracks — and if you feel brave, share your theories on what awaits on that road…
